I don't know, maybe it's because I've always compared it to The Mysterons, but I've never taken to IoD at all. Sure, the CGI was fantastic and the Mysteron chase on Mars was pretty good, but overall, I felt it was a big let-down.

What does everyone else think?

I will have to agree with you. I did enjoy it, but if I have to make a comparison with "The Mysterons", the pilot of the original series, I will have to say that the plot wasn't as good. Maybe it's doing the episode a grave injustice, to compare it like that, however, but as it is a remake, you cannot help yourself.

Still, it did start the series well enough, and the animation was quite good. Which is the reason I gave it 3.
